In
the spirit of Valentine’s Day
#1 Stability: There are not a lot of careers out there that
can boast about the continuous growth of this field during an economic
recession. Statistics and media polls have shown that PR has been ranked at a
“top career.”
#2 Opportunities: In this profession, we always have our
brains ticking away and coming up with big and innovative ideas. Because we
welcome creative and strategic thinking, it allows doors with new opportunities
behind them to be opened.
#3 Stimulation: PR is far, far away from being a boring job.
It is a fast-paced industry that is constantly changing. Each day brings new
ideas and challenging tasks, so there is no such thing as a dull moment.
#4 Impact: PR is a blend of brand developing, business
strategy, image management, marketing, creative design, social media,
promoting, and much more! So to be able to help a business overcome their
strategic challenges by using our knowledge and resources is very rewarding.
#5 Results: The end goal of those working in the PR industry
is to successfully tell a business’ story and deliver results. Knowing we
helped our client gain exposure by landing them on a television segment, radio
show or print/ online publication to share their story is an incredible
feeling.
#6 Knowledge: This is a field where you will never stop
learning. Every business and client is different from one another, and the
interaction with people is on-going. We have the opportunity to interact with
our clients, colleagues and journalists on a daily basis, so we get to obtain
new information and gain fresh insight to feed our intellectual minds.
#7 Perks: Even the most brilliant minds behind PR feel the
stress of the job everyday. It’s no lie that you need thick skin for this
industry, followed by dedication to hard work. But because of this, we are
always in the loop of the latest and greatest. We can’t deny the perks of
getting to try new products, attend exclusive events and meet/ work with
notable figures, celebrities and companies making a difference.
#8 Camaraderie: Lifelong friendships can be made in this
industry because of the constant interaction with people. We believe that in
PR, we must remain impeccable to our word and create lasting bonds, which will
ultimately contribute to growth and success.
#9 Meaning: We are not about pitching nonsense to whoever is
out there. A legitimate PR company makes it their goal to produce positive
changes by raising awareness and educating people on important issues, causes
and organizations.
#10 The Whole Kit and Caboodle: PR applies to practically
everything across the board… from music, to healthcare, to politics, to beauty,
to education and so on. Literally, anything we think of can somehow relate to
PR. With an industry of continual growth and an endless stream of ideas, we are
always left learning about and working on fascinating topics.
Our time spent at TFPR is far from ordinary. Each day proves
different from the last. They are full of accomplishments, and headaches, and
satisfaction, and stress, and triumphs, and challenges and we love every minute
of it!
